Spiced Cider

What better way is there to combine some of the things you love most in life? (In this case, 6F and food.) We made this a while ago and it was full of awesome. I remember us discussing how we felt like we could never have any other roommates again unless it’s some component of 6F because no one else will ever compare. (When the bar is set so high, there is nowhere to go but down.) I guess that’s the price I paid for having the fortune of being super spoiled throughout college.

Spiced Cider

-2 quarts good quality apple cider or juice
-1 cinnamon stick
-1 tsp whole cloves
-1/2 tsp whole allspice
-1 orange, quartered with peel
-pinch of salt
-pinch of nutmeg
-brown sugar (optional, to taste; we didn’t add any)

1) Bring cider to a simmer and throw everything in it. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

I especially like the fact that you can eat the spiced oranges afterward. :]
